So our stay in Hong Kong is over! Overall it was a pretty sick holiday! We spent the last 2 nights just practicing from the cafe next to our hotel. We seemed to get better as time went on which was a great sign! Got word of the map rotation. I, personally am quite happy with the map draw. In my mind I was hoping for either
Vatos Locos or
mTw on tuscan but owell! We are well under prepared on tuscan so vsing either VL(in our minds the weakest of the group) and maybe pulling a W, or the strongest team and accepting a loss! In saying that of course we will give it our all! As much as we despise playing inferno, we always seem to win and convincingly at that in Australia, so pulling that against
Virtus was a win for us! Train vs
PowerGaming could be interesting, as it could decide who goes through granted we play our cards right, being the last round! (bit of wishful thinking tbh)

Ok enough about that for now. We arrived in Chengdu, and to be frank, it's not as nice as we'd hoped it to be! We were greeted at the airport with a real enthusiastic WCG volunteer. We then got on a bus to the Holiday Inn(which we thought we'd be staying at). WCG released that there were 2 player villages. One, a 5-Star hotel right next to the WCG event, and the other about 10 mins away in the slums. We were told we'd be staying at the Holiday Inn, but they shoved us off to the other one!

Ended up going to bed at like 9pm, really strange after 7am bedtimes in HK! There really is just nothing to do. Today we woke up and decided to hit the city. I feel obliged to warn anyone catching a taxi in Chengdu, wear your seatbelt. There are no road rules and I mean NONE. We almost got into 20 accidents in the 20 mins it took to get to the city. We agreed to record a trip to the city the next time we go, so definately check it out when we do!
As for now, going to be another quiet one, we have our games tomorrow! I plan to wake up early and watch some NBA(cavs vs Orlando) before we play to psych myself up!
