iBisQ Returns
May 6, 2008

The old home of Melbourne Counter-Strike iBisQ is coming back, and back in a big way. The renovations are pretty much complete and let me be the first (or second) to say after testing these machines out it looks very promising.

Gamerthon is coming!
March 5, 2008

Flicking through the MX newspaper on the way home from work today I noticed a few familiar faces in the MX Techno section.
Upon closer inspection, it was Melbourne’s own Zero Remorse + slut featuring (from left to right): funboy, davestr1zl, benor (StensGaming), mrt (source), and gamz.
AINC #1 Side Coverage
February 23, 2008

A more detailed score coverage can be found on ESAU.
For those who missed the scores, the final placings were:
1st - SG - kram, c0ke, jac, benor, gazr
2nd - amortize - port, hellraiser, endless, snoopy, destiny
3rd - Invy - kevin, blank, nameci, dchoi, beedee
So three teams secured the invite with TF8 & ZR narrowly missing out - next qualifier will certainly be tight with these two teams + King & Redux.
The betting game:
The wager was from each person was $5 and they only won the total prize pool of $45 if they got the exact score right. If the score was not bet/taken by someone everyone would be refunded back.

With the two dice teams finishing 4th & 5th, it was a little disappointing results wise. Having said that, we did come into the competition expecting to finish behind v300 and as much as I hate to say it, redux. The surprise of the day was the strong play by Snatch/ZR who derailed both dice A & B from the lower bracket crawl.
Final standings:
1st. v300 - kram, gazr, benor, c0ke, destiny
2nd. redux - rav, fizz, beast, toonz, rize
3rd. ZR - gamz, davestr1zl, coop, tom, funboy
4th. Dice A - z3ak, tnyvo, escuro, spectre, jing
5th. Dice B - andeh, bui, hellraiser, nrd, beedee
