Not a bad video especially this "Kaned" superstar. But yeh the colours seemed a bit inconsistant, and the music was a bit unoriginal for a cs movie.

my only criticism is that the first frag of the intro is the best in the whole movie.. shoulda started with average slaws and worked its way up to the money shots

you should try keep the movie a bit more plain with effects as i think your trying to overdo it. A much cleaner movie with some nice freecam movements/slowmos and a nice userbar will look better.
And wd on the rendering this time, so much smaller lol

also about music: i think its just a bad choice as one of the songs is from FizzLTD, best movie everrrrrrr and i kinda compared it to it.

People want something 'fresh' when they watch a cs movie. Original music gives movies a different feel, they want to see something new.

You have to remember, people have been watching CS movies for around 10 years, nothing really surprises them any more LOL.

hud_saytext 0 is also a good idea, i could see alot of text during the movie. Apart from that i agree with most people keep the special effects to a limit and i didnt think they music was that bad. 7/10

I don't have any issue with effects so long as they don't detract from the frags. For me frags are the main-point of a movie but a movie can still be amazing for me the way its presented. Movies like 'Eve' started off a whole genre of cs movies.

Intro's are one of my biggest peeves, I can't stand intro's that go over a minute long, ideally an intro is something about 30 seconds long but it depends on how you are presenting it and all that. Anyway, take advice from Hans and anyone else you can find that makes movies, Scream also does well.

ready willing and able is the best CS movie and in the intro is annoyingly long

I was giving examples of different kinds of movies, Typically the Australian community doesn't like effects and just wants the frags presented in a clean and simple layout... This works fine for most things that the Australian community would ask of you. Scream's DNC Vic Qual movie is a good example of what pleases aus-gamers and I rate it well for achieving that.

Hush was a very original movie and an example of interesting editing, Eve was also original and basically started off that whole theme, you can have your own opinion on it and that's fine... Can't always please everyone.

If you wanna go look at CS videos, there's a few channels on youtube although im sure you already have a source: channelcs, jukaxd and wwwmoviemakingfr are all good ones, the latter is owned by SK's video guy. There used to be a website, the movie vault, and was solely for gaming videos, there was a whole community behind it and was a really good place to go for tips and ideas but they unfortunately closed up.
