Looking to buy a new laptop, but don't really know what to get.

Roughly, the specs I want:

Dual processer 2.3Ghz+
4GB+ Ram
3hr+ Battery Life
13-17" screen.
Decent graphics card
Not a piece of shit

Suggestions?

A friend of mine just got that with the default options and he couldn't be happier.

If you have the money though get an equivalent 13" version so it's portable and you can just plug in separate mouse/keyboard/monitor at home to game comfortably imo.

#4. Not bad.

#5 Or I could just get a laptop, aye. It's not majorly for gaming... as long as it can run CS I don't really care.

MSI GT740 is what our cod4/source guys use, and get constant 120 fps+ no lower. It's around $1980 AUD, but if it's 1.6 only as far as gaming goes, you could probably go less, like a GT640 - or as low as a GE600 which is only like $1300 AUD?

ArchaicMSI's GT740 laptop ~$1980
