also just like to add, even just joining the server for a few minutes inbetween your IPGN games or anything would be much appreciated. The more traffic we get to the server the better!! :)

I can make a plugin for server that kicks an idler if there's only 1 slot left, so non-idlers can still join.

How does idling = more traffic?
Isn't the revenue coming from advertisement on the MOTD?
And if its advertisement, they look at the amount of individual IP's a website/cs-server gets over a day/week/month to decide how much exposure this will get them?
Idling shouldn't have anything to do with the amount of revenue unless the people you are getting to sponsor this server have no idea what they are getting into?

Different advertisements are displayed on different MOTD refreshes. It's viewed the same as someone playing on the same server for 2 hours as idling for 2 hours. Advertising is paid per influence (view).

just played my first 2 maps,
timelimit seems good to drop a 100bomb which was always the mark in the really old GA DM. Unless u were kon, then 120.
some of the maps are good, but 2 big (like cplmill) maybe get a "A" only map i think 3D made one.
Also remove the radar
Bot Taz is a weapon, and NEO should be the highest skilled bot.

dust2 / inferno / train / nuke / tuscan
(will let these slide..) aztec / mirage

awesome work on getting this set up
and yeh agree with #16, should just have the standard 5 maps in the rotation, and maybe mirage or something
and is there anything additional we can do to maximise revenue? or is it literally the more people & time spent in server = more money?

I removed mill from map cycle. Scream and I didn't think it was going to be popular, but Jkr wanted to trial it.
I don't think mirage or aztec should be added. Too much work creating waypoints and I think server will be underpopulated on mirage/aztec. Anyone disagree? thoughts/feedback plz
#15 - radar,
Two options for removing radar:
On connect, "hideradar" is executed in console. What I don't like about this is players have to type "drawradar" or restart cs to display the radar.
The only other way to hide radar without forcing commands is by making the HUD invisible server-side (no console commands eg "hideradar" or "hud_draw 0"). This means that health, armour, money, etc. are not shown.
I guess players could manually type "hideradar" if they wanted to.
#15 - 3d map,
If you're talking about those 3d 'half' maps like 3d_train_a and de_dust2_catwalk, I really like those. Unfortunately, I don't think their suited to 20 player slots.
#15 - bots,
All bots are currently set to 45% difficulty and have the same reactions/accuracy.

yeh just the default 5 maps for cycle is fine i rekn, as for radar and stuff - couldnt we just make it a non FFA server? :D:D:D
if its always going to be FFA, is it not possible to make hideradar execute more regularly than just on connect, or to check for it regularly and force it every 10 seconds or something? or nah (i have no idea coding-wise about this kind of stuff)

all bots should be at 45%. But the NEO bot should be at 60%, anything less is just an injustice.

Only problem I see with the bots, is they tend to start randomly spamming you through walls when you spawn near them, gets rather annoying ;p
Maybe turn down their reaction time a little so they down spawn spam/aimbot you Mostly just annoying on tuscan and inferno and nuke, bigger maps like train and dust2 where the waypoints are more spaced out, its not such a problem.

Awesome work. Also agree with keeping the main 5 maps. People will end up leaving the server when maps like mill, aztec, mirage pop up.

Good server. I never used to be a FFA fan but now I'm hooked.
Some of the spawn points are a bit dodge. Also I seemed to be spawning in front of bots who would instakill me 2-3 times in a row every 4-5 spawns or so.

Is there any way you can code the bots to only use ak/colt? I think that'd be much better as opposed to the random aug or mp5 or some random gun, looks good though wd guys :)

Andyz0r --> There's a famous podbot creator out there who made a series of bots called 'LuX Bots' http://www.team-amaya.de/bots.htmlThis guy's bots are absolutely insane. I dont recommend the bots, but I do recommend stealing his waypoints and spawn configs. He has many many many waypoint maps done (even on many fun maps... dont know why). Also his servers spawn like 32 bots all over the map as well... so Im guessing you can just steal the spawn points for aztec and mirage off there This is how I eventually got a 'perfect' set of lan deathmatch bots on my computer. Its got spawn points for tuscan etc. and all the bots have helm armour. If you had mirage with all 20 slots full I would say at least 5 people would have to download it, so depending on the server it would probably effect rego.

Same thing as #29, when a particular bot kills you, and you respawn near them, they instantly start spamming/shooting you. Bots are still using the AUG. Good rego, good server :>
