yer its a good writeup but doesnt have all the history, i reckon someone should make a history of cs nationals movie, id actually be interested in doing would be a MAMMOTH undertaking tho lol

synergy only won 1 national and it was in like 2000/2001? then they died, though some of them went and made iCHOR but wasnt exact same team but still in the list

synergy still holds the highest placing in an overseas comp of any Australian 1.6 team.

I would have to question the necessity for such an article, anyone around who still gives a shit about cs is clearly a big enough groupie that they'd already know this.

i think its necessary krowbar. it makes me feel good to be the best, most successful and most dominant. i am a pretty big deal.

back when cs was newish and no one was really good #33, compare synergys group to some of fzer0 SQL or iM's. not taking anything away from them they were one of my fav teams but you cant compare them to new aus teams, its like saying the old SK would beat NaVi/new SK

That's all you ever say rize, the fact is Australia was closer to the international level from 2001 - 2003 than it ever was later on. In 2002 a f-zer0 lineup without davio and co beat a strong 3D team.

Basically CS in Aus peaked in 2001 - 2003.

You can't compare different teams from different era's, but you can compare results from said years.

fzer0 beat a mixed 3D team which was actually probably there worst lineup ever representing 3D. Jaden da bears moto ksharp kim bullseye, compare that with -jaden -da bears + method + shaguar later on. Before you say something you have no idea about you should research first

The games evolved like every sport has, times in 100 metres sprints have gone down, football teams have gotten better, CS teams are 10 times better and sharper than they were 10 years ago, your letting nostalgia cloud your judgement

SK were more revolutionary, your forgetting they played in a time with old money systems, full eco'ing on pistol rounds to then save with deagles and mp5 armour 2nd round, go and watch a game from 2002 and you will realise how stupid you sound. that is all

As I've said earlier you can't compare different teams from different era's. Also, If you think Potti & HeatoN wouldn't find a way to win today if they were still in their prime you're dreaming.

Of course they wouldn't be as successful as they were in 2003 and like anything they would of evolved with the game.

I dont know about that, CS was bigger in 2005 i think than the past in AUS, while the early years had CPL and WCG, later on like i was talking about might of even been bigger.. WCG ESWC CPL MSI IEM etc... im not even sure if 01-03 was bigger than 05-10 in terms of comps

Like if i compare what i can from the top of my dome, synergy went to 1 wcg i think, with some of them going to 2 with iCHOR the next wcg, fzer0 went on a world tour including cpl wcg eswc all in 1 in 3 diff countries? if i can remember, and that was later on, SQL and iM did similar things, what i will agree with you on is the actual game itself within australia and pub servers / general play has gone down a FUCKLOAD in aus, thats why i dont even play anymore

In regards to Christensen and Potti, yeah they were amazing in there time, the game was different tho back then, 1.3 was pretty comical and i think players now have developed way better than heaton and potti ever was

watch get_right or f0rest compared to HeatoN, theres really no comparision :( I think people remember heatons little gimmicky tricks and spray control which players like gtr and f0rp have taken to a new level

Yeah I agree players are way better than they ever were. But if those two had kept playing through the years and were still in their prime. They would still win some competitions imo. That's all I'm suggesting.

HeatoN was my fav player prob ever till i saw GTR/NEO/f0rp, pained me to say that about him but yeah i agree those 2 had something else than no one had back then, you put them 2 on any team in the world and they would of made them win i rkn..

I dunno the way i kinda see it is like heaton and potti are pele and maradona, gtr and f0rp are messi and CR7 ? LOL
