Just do e-tax. Fuck the ATO. Claim deductions you shouldn't. It's a step by step progress and it's exceptionally easy to manipulate your final return. Keep playing around with it until you get a return you like (srs).
The ATO will most likely not audit you, they have bigger fish to fry. As well, if you do get audited, the worst that happens to you is that you have to repay the part return that you weren't properly entitled to. Think of it as a free loan. You might come under some scrutiny in your future returns, however hopefully by then you are earning the big bucks and have an awesome accountant.
