- 32 teams for a melb lan was possible.
- iBisQ (melb) mGL existed * so did: iZone, webwarfare;
- lan cafes were full with CS players till the wee hours until the next morning.

locally - 12m - monkeys reined supreme for a short while

- zevier & Milan were the local Melb and EXi talents.

- JaiTud existed.

- NiP / SK existed - yes people idolised HeaToN & his crew.

- PCGAMING published an experts guide to Counter-Strike.

- funCpads were the forefront of mousepads.

- Microsofts v3 was the forefront of mice gear (arguably still is)

- up to 4-5 GameArena & Optus 32 player servers were full.

- no one got upset over light banter.

- admins were not hard to find to run comps

- cheating at lan was punishable by bashing.

2 GA DM full nearly all the time. Used to have to just sit on auto-retry waiting for that DM GOODNESS.
