Just find it dissapointing how people find this a popularity contest instead of voting for the best player. KgN was clearly the best not just in the finals but all day and i think its only fait that he be awarded MVP. Not having a go, i like the idea of a public vote - but maybe for future reference there should be a private poll done between teams who were in brackets or even in groups but didn't make it through to finals who vote.

I donno just throwing it out there to try and calm the situation :P then again that could also just fail seeing as most people wouldve dogged the pc after losing their games LOL.

Hmm if i remember correctly this was a community tournament beedee put up for _YOU_ to compete in to celebrate DICEVIP, cybergamer put up the funding to say hey beedee you do a great job keeping the CS1.6 community kicking with this very cool site.

Guys can we step back a bit, this was not a WCG qualifier or an AU nats qualifier it was a cup put on to celebrate DICEVIP and their anniversary. Who was there for you guys when AINC caked putting up the cash to ensure you still played?

You guys are all lanners for the most part it was a fun online tournament for you. Pretty shocked at the display guys.

The MVP award was concocted by me as a fun spin off where you guys could vote for who you felt had played well, but as it seems this is not going to be the case the $50 is withdrawn and will be given to the haiti appeal.

Hope for the most part you guys had fun, we are coming up with more and more ways to find things for CS1.6 just try to remember when the comp is for fun and when its for serious prizes please guys.

a public vote is what it is - a public vote. It won't be accurate because no one will spend hours of effort to watch the POV for every person in the final and then weigh up who did the best frags/game breakers etc...

It should be easy to judge the man of a match, i watched all games and kagan was clearly MVP after his last inferno game. The whole vote for MVP thing doesn't really work. Its like having a community vote in Los Angelas over LJ or KB, KB gonna get the goods. I watched all final games and after kagan's last episode on inferno, he was clearly MVP. Although hes being abit of a doucherington with the keyboard, he did a good job both calling and fragging for his team. Its hard to give MVP to a losing team, MVP's win games, they dont lose them. A winning player is allways more "Valuable" than a losing player.
