Almost 2 months after announcing the new-look Immunity lineup, changes have been made as
Yaman "yaman" Ergenekon has been added to the team.
Team Immunity were last seen in action at the Intel Extreme Masters Asian Championship, where they managed a respectable fourth place and $1,600 USD, placing just behind
WemadeFox,
UMX, and
TitaNs.
Yaman will be joining the team in place of
Fergus "ferg" Stephenson who, according to his teammates, has started at University again and has had to move back into his dad's house. This left him unnable to put in the time and dedication into the team anymore, as he will also be unnable to attend overseas events - which is the main goal of Team Immunity. Fergus will stay on as a 6th player should the team urgently require a reserve, but will presumably not see much game time.
Fortunately, Yaman is no stranger to
Immunity, having previously played for the team when they were victorious at the Australian World Cyber Games 2008. He then went on to a successful WCG Global Finals campaign with the team in Germany, where they managed to progress past the group stage and into an equal 9-16th placing.
Immunity will presumably next be seen playing in the recently announced Elysium Community Nationals in Queensland, and will be one of the hot favourites to take out the event.
These changes leave
Team Immunity with the following lineup:
Gareth "gazR" Lynn
Yaman "yaman" Ergenekon
Mike "Apoc" Aliferis
Otis "pupajoN" Duncan
Miles "rizE" O'Connor
