City Hunter 8TRR Teams Preview
 Author :

As usual for a Sydney competition, we always see constantly changing lineups. It has been a long time since there has been a team with the same 5 players attending LAN events on a regular basis. However, just because the teams are always changing does not affect the individual skills of the players. At this event there are some very solid lineups, expect a lot of close games and perhaps even a few surprising results. This will be a hard event to predict but I will do so as best I can.

The current teams list in order of prediction is below.

Teams

Australia Exile 5
CONZ, RooK, KRUZ, rBKE, stone

A regular winner at the City Hunter round robin events, Exile 5 looks strong to take out another event. The chemistry and skill of this team will see them dominate their opponents. Core 3 players conz, rook and kruz have been in the same teams together for the past few years, add to that choobie aka stone and the brilliant burke from the previous SQL team and you have an incredibly strong lineup. Look for CONZ to get the early picks with the awps and look for KRUZ clutching the crucial rounds.

Players to watch: KRUZ

Australia Tantrum
fulli, kor3, Nixske, dippa, myztery

This lineup comprising of the usual Death By Click players is almost always giving Exile 5 a run for their money. I have seen too many matches of X5 verse these guys go into overtime, but dbc seems to never come out on top. A surprise addition to this lineup is the player Myztery from the Singapore team Xqr. With a heap of international finals under his belt he will bring a wealth of experience and skill to this already decent lineup. If Myztery is on his game he will ensure tantrum receive a minimum second place finish.

Players to watch: Myztery

Australia Vanquishers
rizE, dyna, tezustAR, pupajoN, YPSIRC

Any team with players rizE and pupajoN from the new Immunity lineup will be a team to mess with. However with the other 3 players coming back from retirement it will be a struggle on the shoulders of the immunity players. CRISPY from the old Imminent lineup may be able to do some damage on the day if he can bring to LAN what he brings online. dyna, the founder of Vanq might be the downfall for this team. When he was active he had no real accomplishments in the form of results so being inactive I cannot see him going large at this event. tezustAR has some what decent aim so on a good day he may be able to keep up with pupajoN and rizE on the scoreboard.

Players to watch: pupajoN

Australia crAzy.au
NewtoN, LaLN, paulyoyo, ENVY, Pacman

Former exile 5 players, ENVY and tek (LaLN) will bring some experience to this team. Of course best player in Australia, Pacman is looking strong to carry this team in every match and may perhaps push this team to take the number 1 placing. Well maybe if this event was online anyways :P. MSQ, the recent winner of the CG aim_map comp can bring his online aim to LAN and if he plays anything like he does in ipgn-comp, expect him to carry this team.

Players to watch: ENVY

Australia Munkka
zer0, saiyko, jdm, ap0c, soren

This team will be hard to predict. zero, jdm and saiyko are not decent nor experienced players. However, ap0c and soren make up for that. I expect this team to be heavily carried by those two players and I would expect them to cause a few upsets but I can see zero, jdm and saiyko being the downfall and causing this team to lose crucial rounds. for competing teams, all that is needed is the fragging of soren and apoc and that may certainly result in winning the round.

Players to watch: ap0c

Australia Invuls
FBI, Draken, Jy!, loveme, TBA

I love this team so much. They always make me laugh when they fire up with their yells in Asian languages echoing across the LAN center. I have played the Invuls team recently online and if they are the same players that they were online I would expect a few upsets from this team as usual. I don't know too much about these players but I know that this team has very sharp aim and that alone is enough for them to gain the rounds.

Players to watch: Jy

Australia 450
toby, cartier, manta, carnu, snmode

A good lineup but I cannot predict them placing in the top 4. They will defeat a few of the low tier teams and get a few rounds on the better teams but they are no danger for any upsets. snmode will most likely lead the frag board and help his team build up round points and toby1canoby will sneak a few clutches here and there if he is on his game. I hope this team can fire up under pressure show me something special. ^_^

Players to watch: snmode

Australia Silent
Velm, Juan, desly, Vacl, shim

I don't know anyone from this team. I think everyone is aliasing but I could be wrong. I believe there are a few former pnpoo players in this lineup but I cannot predict them until i know so for now I think I will predict this team for last.

Players to watch: NFI

Good luck to all teams competing!!!
