1.0 Match Format
Starting sides for each map will be determined by a 'knife round' at a designated point on the map. The winner of the knife round choose the side they wish to start on first.
All matches follow MR15 format - the first team to obtain 16 rounds is the winner. The following server settings are to be used:

If both teams are tied at the end of both halves, an overtime will be played. The overtime will consist of 2 halves of 3 rounds with slightly modified settings:
mp_startmoney 16000
1.1 Match Disconnections:
Should a match be involuntarily interrupted during live play, the game will be paused at the START of the next round. 5 minutes will be given for the disconnected player to reconnect, if they fail to join within that time, the game will continue with 4 players. If the 4th player drops, the game will be forfeited.
No money will be awarded to players or teams affected by disconnects.
If the disconnect occurs for a player alive during the pistol round, players must inform admins during THAT round in order for the round to be replayed.
2.0 Actions that will result in a once off team warning:
- Silent planting.
- Looking under the wall at vines on train and bomb boxes on inferno.
- Boosting in places where textures may become transparent or penetrable. Think stairs boost and peeking long by jumping.
- Refusal to follow admin instructions.
- Displays of unsportsmanlike behaviour.
- Attempts to mislead an admin.
- Using insulting language towards admins or players.
- Voluntarily disconnecting and reconnecting during live play (includes changing teams by accident).
2.1 Actions that will result in round deduction (-3):
- Violation of the warning rules above more than once.
- Use of any form of script.
- Using bugs which change the game principle are illegal (e.g. T spawn bug on dust2).
- Boosting/moving through walls, floors and roofs is forbidden.
- Planting the bomb so that it cannot be defused is illegal. You may plant the bomb where it can be reached by a boost.
- Changing teams prior to the half completely finishing.
2.2 Item restrictions:
You may not use the riot shield. If you purchase this by accident, you must drop it.
3.0 Before starting
Players must use their real team name and alias for broadcasting purposes. Players registering for online DICE events must provide the following details 5 days prior to the matches:
- Full Name & Alias
- Valid Email
- Steam ID
- DICEVIP.com username
- Team contact details [whether it be phone, msn or IRC]
Note: You can register up to a maximum of seven players.
DICE will also require a representative of the team to join #dicevip on irc.Gamersurge.net for basic communication puposes.
3.1 During the match
If a team suspects itself as a victim of cheating or unfair play (see 2.1) during a match, they should finish the match in proper fashion and dispute the result immediately upon its completion. Once the match is over, one member of the team may address the match admin and ask for an investigation. Players must provide all the information they believe is valuable to help aid admins in their investigation. Repetetive and unjustified use of this rule will result in a warning and/or a forfeit if players continue abuse their right to dispute.
3.2 After the match
All necessary ZYM anticheat log files should be uploaded. POV demo's should be kept for a whole 48 hours after the match.
4.0 LAG:
We have three servers on seperate networks available to us. A suitable server will be chosen at the admins discretion; where both teams are evenly matched/pinged.
5.0 Online Etiquette:
DICE are big fans of ingame player ettiquette. To make things simple, an MM1 (Global chat) rule will be enforced - MM1 should only be used to liase with ingame admins and the opposition during half time breaks and at the end of the match.
6.0 ZYM Anticheat
The ZYM anticheat we're employing in this tournament is required for all players competing. Without going into detail, the ZYM client will do three basic things: Take a screenshot, scan your steam directory, look for and log suspicious processes running in the background.
6.1 Using the ZYM Anticheat
- Download the ZYM anticheat here
- Extract the ZYM client to an easy to find location (Windows Desktop works for me)
- Ensure steam is OPEN and Counter-Strike 1.6 is CLOSED
- Select "Counter-Strike (No Server)" under the Selection drop-down menu.
- Click Load - A "Record" button should now be in place of the Load button, this means ZYM has successfully loaded
- Click Record - Your CS should launch and ready for you ready to join the match server.
- Upload the .zym game files to a location of your choice immediately. You may use rapidshare.com, megaupload.com, sendspace.com, etc.
It is important to RETAIN your POV's as an admin may request these (see 3.2).
Notes:
A disqualified team will automatically lose/forfeit all the remaining matches in the tournament.
