Q: Does the core 3 rule apply if my team disbands before the event?
A: Yes, however if this is abused, your team will be replaced.
Q: What are the chances of a reserve team playing on the weekend?
A: Quite high as we will be sticking to our ruleset closely.
Q: Can a banned player on the XL database still compete?
A: Yes & no. The nature of the XL database when created was to act as a precautionary deterrant for those engaging in online scrims, and was a lot of the time treated informally. The XL database included submissions from cheaters caught in pub to those in official competitions. While DICEVIP supports the abolishment of cheaters, in our current situation; where the community was never made formally aware about the consequences of being on the XL database, it's unfair to ban all the listed "players" from DICE competitions. With that in mind, all the STEAMID's currently banned on the XL database will remain that way. This means that if you've cheated in the past, think of this as your last and final warning^. The only exception to this rule is "players" caught cheating in an official competition within the last year.

16 team double elim is a total of 30 games, and thats spread over 2 days so 15 games per day essentially
to increase the team limit by 4 teams and do groups, is doubling the number of games u'll need to do (4 groups of 5 then bo3 single elim is ~60 games - 40 for groups then roughly 20 for all the finals) therefore doubling the number of servers, admins, etc and it just wont work unfortunately :(
dw though, its just over a month away im sure some team(s) will pull out by then.
