Many people voiced their displeasure of this year's event on the GPForums after experiencing connectivity and organisational issues to do with the tournament, including those of the two finalist teams.

We tried first game [but] didn't even bother [with] 2nd [map], knew we were beat.. lost rounds we should have had easily on d2. PX at the end of the day just too strong.
Worst ****ing xlan ever though, the stage pc's were ****ing absolutely garbage. I was playing on 1.7 sens lower than i normally would, hells screen was cut nearly 1/3 out he couldnt even read or see the top part of his screen/sides. Vans sens was ****ed, couldn't have mouse accel on and nunucs pc drops 2nd half with lag issues constantly...
Our port where we were sitting for our pool games was ****ed too, vans pc might as well have been lagged the entire time, nunuc had spikes every 60 or so seconds which would freeze him & so did i.
Don't think i'll be coming back ever again after this year, huge amount of money to spend for something that SMG runs at 35$ a pop or something with much more fun involved. We had to arrange our own games for 1.6 with all the other teams, teams were using Mwheel, illegal scrips and no one gave a ****.
GLHF telstra clear, you're ****ed. I think A LOT of people are in the same boat as me sitting here.

Personally for me, I think the organisation of the Source and 1.6 events were a shambles, but you have to consider how much focus had to be on getting all of Steam updated and working properly for all considering how major, and disruptive the update was (my source didn't even work afterwards, nor after downloading 1.5GB of further update)
The CS tournament admin has to have experience and a plan for running the event, evilevo simply failed with his communication, and has done his best to make up for that by being more organised yesterday on the Saturday.
We leave the event feeling positive and having enjoyed it because we played lots of matches across CS 1.6 and CSS (20-21 maps in total?), but there are definitely things that need to be worked on for the next one, which I'll look forward to again.
PS. 8 people are going to WCG (fully paid for), as opposed to 0 last year.
