After months of discussion, Cybergamer have revealed details about its first online 1.6 league which will span over 3 months and 3 divisions.

The pay to play league will run over a period of 7 weeks with the top 4 teams advancing to a best-of-three finals. Skill wise it will be broken down into 3 divisions:

Black Invite League (Div1)
Blue Main League (Div2)

Green amateur League (Div3)

Registrations will open up this Saturday where teams will choose a division to join, and then drafted into the appropriate division by admins to ensure fair play.

There is a team limit of 8 for each division, so make sure you register your interest quickly.

10.
 23/08/10 01:52am
Payments are made via the cybergamer paytoplay system which is paypal backend. All rego fees are returned in the prize pool plus additional money by cybergamer.

#28 on the money.
30.
 25/08/10 06:43pm
Also on another note, in my opinions the rego fee should be higher, if your asking for $5-10 per player im sure there will still be dogging anyway because that money is next to nothing, imo make it $30 a head and then the prizepool would be dominating and teams would hurt themselves of winning even if the miss 1 week, just my 0.02c but i appreciate what you guys are doing, gl with it.

its per team, i made it low as i have seen people try to start CS leagues before and struggle so i figured low payment low pool its nice and easy for the teams to the point where you dont have to think of much, you copy the schedule paste it on your forums then goto the rankings page 2 times a week, once to grab the server details for your match and once more to enter the score after your game.

I really wanna make something thats simple but fun for you guys as i really want this to be a success. If you all get involved and get keen do some writeups a bit of posting i can pitch your league to a sponsor and you can start seeing pools like CSS and COD4 that get between $5-7000 a season

ignore dreamR hes special, i mean who has 0.02 of a cent?
36.
 27/08/10 03:10pm
As much as dreamR is special he does have a point.. Apart from MAYBE the div1 teams the rest of the teams will probably have 7 or so players.. $25 or $15 a team with 7 players.. I don't see how paying a few dollars each will make them play 7 weeks in a row lol
37.
 27/08/10 05:46pm
I don't see how charging them $30 a head will make them play at all, particularly when those teams are mostly playing for enjoyment, not because they are addicted to the game and think it's the most important thing in the world. AYE BraSKI.
38.
 27/08/10 08:28pm
I never said anything about $30 a head. I just agreed about $25/$15 isn't enough :P
39.
 27/08/10 08:50pm
You have to find the right balance between costing enough that people see it as an investement they dont want to waste so they actually show up to the comp and costing too much that they wont even want to pay for it in the first place. The Blue, and especially the Green, are more casual leagues and the turnout probably wouldnt be as good if the rego was too high.

As it is atm, this can be seen as the first of hopefully many to come so theres nothing wrong with having cheap rego (if anything its a bonus), and afaik cybergamer will be chipping in with their own money for additional prizes so they'll be really good aswell.

At the end of the day, if teams fully pay their rego then end up dogging the comp because they dont care its no1's loss but their own. At most it will cause a minor inconvenience with teams having a bye each week. If u've received their money then it doesnt really matter what they do after that.
