City Hunter Burwood SYD 1.6 Amateur Comp

Dice is proud to announce another City Hunter event. The competition is a 6 team round-robin event to take place at the City Hunter Burwood Cafe. To those who have not been there before, the cafe is literally 30 meters away from Burwood station. Although this is an amateur comp, all teams are encouraged to sign up. However, amateur teams will be given preference at this event.

 

COMPETITION DETAILS

Date: 24/10/10
Time: 9:15am - 3pm
Location: City Hunter Burwood
Format: 6 team round robin (5 games minimum)
Rego: $30 per person ($150 per team)
Prizes: 1st $350, 2nd $200
Maps: dust2, inferno, train, nuke, tuscan

 

RULES

1. If you do not have 5 players at the venue ready to play, you will start your match with 4 and your 5th may join at any time
2. If you do not have at least 4 ready to play, you will forfeit your matches until you have enough to begin
3. If you decide not to turn up and fail to give 72 hours notice, all players that do not show up will not be allowed to participate in future comps
4. You will still be required to pay $150 to enter the venue even if you do not have all your players there
5. No flashbugging, 16 bitting, screen cheating (You will be penalized)

just so you know, even thought there isn't an internet cafe in sight of the burwood 3125 of victoria, it was once the home of the imfamous flea from red hot chilly peppers, so you should possibly put a postcode or maybe even a state in the little advertisement you got going there :P

Registrations will close on the 15th and teams will be announced on the 17th. As stated in article, amateur teams will be given preference. There has been a fair amount of interest in the this comp and it is a good sign of things to come hopefully.

Registrations are closed now. The event has 6 amateur teams in attendance and 2 reserves. You can still apply but chances are very slim that you will receive a spot. I will announce the teams early next week and i look forward to seeing you all there :)

Why wouldn't anyonme make a movie? It's good fun and promotes aus CS. If anything, if you think it's a bad idea then you should just uninstall.

Just because it says amateur comp doesn't mean there aren't any good players.. There are multiple nationals teams in the lineup. vote1 cs movies. Good community fun :D
