The very first of many Dicenats qualifiers will begin this Sunday in Victoria at MidCity. The default format will be double elimination, however depending on team registrations the format will most likely change (as it has in the past).

On the line is 1 invite to the National final in Melbourne on the 22nd-24th January 2011. Information and details for registration can be found below.

Where: MidCity Internet Cafe - Level 1, 276 Russell Street, Melbourne City
Cost: $30 per player ($150 per team)

I quite clearly saw that, which is why i said so its at midcity then - its called asking for confirmation, which is probably needed for everyone in melb seeing as a comp 1 week before the qual was held at a different lan. If i was interested purely for myself i would have just pm'd george. Thanks for the input though guys

well it doesn't need much confirmation, as indus was horrific with the power outs etc, i don't think anyone would run a competition there again with the problems that occurred on the weekend

Indus was OK but not suited for CS comps. Power outages were a bit unfortunate, but the close seating of all the teams made it hard to call strats when ur opponent can be other 1 foot behind or infront of u. furthest away being about 5metres ahaha Midcity will always be #1 :D

#19, are you still trying to decide how many qualifiers were going to have in VIC. or is there going to be 2 in total, with the second having 3 invites? I'm confused. Why only 1 invite first qual? Has this always been the case? sorry i never really kept any track of things before.. :S

#20 the idea for that is to get 1 out of the way now, so that during the exam period there arent any, so there should be quite a bit of a break between this qualifier and the later one(s) -(i think)-

#22 its still being decided how many qualifiers there will be in VIC afaik. There are guaranteed 4 spots, but it could be distributed over any number of qualifiers (2-4 obviously).
