So yes, we didn't notify teams because it was a silent rule and was never encouraged as teams were meant to play at these set times anyway. If teams chose to use this lifeline there were guidelines to adhere to aswell such as rescheduling to the same day, giving adquate notice, etc. Regardless this isn't applicable to your scenario vs Archaic.nz because your player simply forgot to turn up.
Things change and we try our best to accommodate these changes. Sometimes they aren't publicly announced so we aren't caught up on the politics of it all or else the job (league) would never get done.

It’s been a great league so far although we have only won 1 game, but you can’t make ‘silent rules’ and only half the teams know about (I knew about it ). Maybe this can be changed next season, you guys have already updated the new email system after the error was made that sends corrections email which is great! so just consider this a learning curve for next season!
