Both Black League grand-finalists are quite obviously no slouches; the ever-present NZ staple Parallax, now known as Archaic, and Exile 5, comprising some of the most tried-and-true talent in recent Australian CS memory. While Archaic have a wealth of international experience at hand, given the nature of online competitions, it’s a hard task to call a winner given how even both teams’ records have been over the inaugural WD season.
Player(s) to Watch: All are capable of turning the tide, but it would be remiss not to mention the lethality of coNz and evolution when they have an AWP in hand.

The Blue League regular season ended with 3 or 4 teams vying for the title of minor premiers, but all throughout the finals series both MB and BestNLess have been the standouts. Despite some close games for both teams early on in the finals, they advanced unhindered into the grand final. MB, the constant quasi-amateur team of Melbourne, have been nipping at the heels of the upper echelon for some time. Similarily, bar success in previous teams for Pacman, BestNLess will relish the chance to play in Black League come season 2.
Player(s) to Watch: doudou with AWP in hand should not be missed. If MB are winning, ang or CHIZ to be putting up numbers. If MB are losing, dreamR to lose the plot and donut.

Both REGO and Serverdown were clearly the two best teams in Green during the home-and-away season, as was evident by their remaining undefeated. On REGO’s side of the camp, geNx’s swindle into Green has bolstered them significantly, while Melbourne up-and-comers Serverdown are heavily featured at Melbourne LAN competitions, led by shAdz. Expect some very solid maps, as both will be extremely eager to put on a show in a grand final.
Player(s) to Watch: geNx to show why he should be totally promoted, and shAdz to put up decent numbers as one of Serverdown’s biggest fraggers.
