DiceNats - v300 & Dr. Jem qualified

The carry over champions from the 2009 Dice National Cup v300 and Dr. Jem, a formidable last minute contender from NSW have qualified by default after EMC were given the option to withdraw from the competition.

The online qualifier was scheduled to provide spots to teams where attending state qualifiers was not an option, however as the deadline for payment approached, 3 of the 6 registered teams recalled their participation. Changes to the draw became inevitable and as such 'value for games' went down. Although I would not normally agree there is such a thing as 'value for games' in a qualifying event, given the circumstances, I can see where the last withdrawing team came from.

This brings the qualified list as follows:

Another point of discussion worthwhile bring up is how much money these qualified teams with the exception of Immunity, Archaic, GUTS, and the remaining 3 spots for Vic will see. The current pool is projected to finish just over $2,500 - give or take $200-300, however I'm happy to guarantee each of the 6 interstate teams that have qualified $400 minimum.

The alternate option to taking the cash would be us booking accommodation for the team for 2 nights, however that is still being planned out by Pierre (pacman). Can the teams message me with their preferred option as soon as possible.

what do you expect, you chuck us an online qualifier with 70-100ping on most servers for $20 ea?

+ i dont agree with how the distribution of invites were handled, we could have easily had 6teams at a LAN qual given the chance. i just dont back this at all so im not supporting it in an online qualifier thats just my opinion.

Fishballz - one day you will grow up and understand that as a mediocre player in a mediocre team, your opinion doesn't matter very much.

So, the only option you have, is to practice and perform well at the tournament under the conditions that everyone is subject to.

You know, back in the day, DNA with ferg, were a great team and even played very well online? Don't see why you can't be a great team.

if you were really serious about keeping the WA 1.6 community alive and werent just desperate for a nats spot you would be running monthly WA lans instead of looking for a CSS team on gotgames

i do keep up with the WA scene - as far as im aware, the last event that attempted to run there was a moth ago, and it got cancelled due to a poor turnout and the organiser, you, "quite frankly cbf" (direct quote). The last event before that was 6 months ago from memory. If there was an event in between these 2 then apologies i wasnt aware of it.

there is no hate, i rekn dave's a top bloke. @ dave i was trying 2 run a comp atleast once a month and yes there has been a comp atleast every 2-3months either online or lan. as for my quote i have taken a back seat from 1.6 because i dont think theres anything left for us WA players in 1.6 if we dont even get national qualifiers anymore whats the point?
