Today, representatives from DICE, ex-AI members and staff from BIGLEAGUE came together to discuss what could and should be done regarding the recent news about this years Anything Interactive National Cup.
First and foremost, this event will have nothing to do with AINC 2009.
However, the teams that have qualified for AINC will retain their invites. If the qualified teams choose not to come, the trickle system will be in effect, but please remember the core 3 rule will apply.
National Finals is currently still: July 3rd, 4th & 5th

As DICE will be overseeing the 1.6 leg of the tournament, which will piggyback off the BIGLEAGUE, we will be in contact with all the states representitives to discuss and further clarify any information.
More about the substitute nationals (codename: PlanB):
- This nationals will become part of a bigger picture, which is the BIG League. Structurely, the tournament will not change. The Counter-Strike nationals will commence on the Friday, with the finals played over Saturday and Sunday.
- The finals will be group stages, followed by BO3 single elimination. In the single elimination stage, some teams will be required to play their matches in the BIG League TV studio. Matches filmed will be available on BIGLEAGUE.com and DICEVIP.com.
- As we get in contact with more AINC Qualifier organisers around Australia to confirm their states attendance, we'll release additional information regarding the tournament.
- All 1.6 teams attending the national event will be required to pay a $100 entry fee per team.
- The prize money (if any) for this event is still yet to be determined, but as much money as possible will be put towards a winner-takes-all prize. If a considerable prize purse is obtained, 2nd/3rd place prizes may be added, but as it stands at this point in time there is $0 confirmed prize money.
Proposed structure below:
Adelaide - 1 (pending 1 qualifier)
Brisbane - 4 (pending 1 qualifier)
Melbourne - 5 (pending 1 qualifier)
Perth - 1 (pending 1 qualifier)
Sydney - 4
New Zealand - 1 (pending invite to Parallax)
The structure could potentially change as Sydney / Brisbane / New Zealand may decline their invites.
