Weekly Interview

For the first week of the CyberGamer CS 1.6 Season I spoke with Enigma, captain of the green league team  Turtles Inc, to discuss his views of the Green League.

For those of us who don't know, can you give us some background to your team?

Enigma**NF: umm... we're a mix team from melb and sydney
Enigma**NF: the core players have been playing together for over a year or so
Enigma**NF: few ex sydney lanners
Enigma**NF: and melb onliners

How would you describe your team mates in one word?

Enigma**NF: fabio - volatile
Enigma**NF: songry - online (lol)
Enigma**NF: rubypalmer - calm
Enigma**NF: seldy - clutch
Enigma**NF: kyn - positive

What are your thoughts about the teams in the Green League?

Enigma**NF: I think the group is pretty open
Enigma**NF: no clear favorites
Enigma**NF: but we look forward to playing mqR, i think that'll be a vital game to win

This week your team is vsing F*** im good just ask me (FIGJAM) on de_nuke.
How do you think your team will perform?

Enigma**NF: i think if we are on our game it should be a comfortable win, but you never know
Enigma**NF: i predict 16-10 to us

intheMoment vs Eggman's Money Crew

Previously iTM were regarded as "just another team", but ever since their appearance at the previous VIC LAN Qualifiers things have changed. It was unexpected that iTM would defeat ServerDown, even though it was a very close match. Although I don't see iTM's secret weapon (e-ChiLL) in their lineup, they have aquired ScREAM - previously seen in #REGO who won Season 1's Green League division. EMC has hans who will be playing in his natural habitat (online). Also EMC might use the Singaporean superstar riskrod, so this is definately going to be a close one!

Prediction: EMC 16-14 iTM

Players to watch:

• hans #usb-gaming - recently spotted dropping 30 bombs
• NikkeZ the frag demon

Get Worked vs masqueRade

With mqR having experience from the Blue League, they should be well prepared for [gw]. I have heard from various sources that players from [gw] have been playing SC2 non-stop, so they'll probably be a bit rusty.

Prediction: mqR 16-10 [gw]

Apotheosis vs storm.cn

Competing in XLAN 2010, storm.cn should have the experience and teamwork factor - especially with papa who is one of the sharpest players I have seen. As both teams are both from NZ, the ping difference should be minimal. I don't know any players from the Apotheosis lineup, so I'm not sure how skilled their team is. I have been informed that rAzMiK is a decent player who can't keep his bantering mouth shut - may result in rounds being deducted.

Prediction: storm.cn 16-6 Apotheosis

Turtles Inc. vs F*** im good just ask me

From what I've seen, Turtle's ruby_palmer is always on his game and will destroy anything that comes in his path. I have scrimed against FIGJAM on nuke in the past and they do have strong CT holds, but their T half consisted of unsuccessful rushes. With a few strat sessions FIGJAM could be up to scratch with Turtles, but I don't see this happening.

Prediction: Turtles 16-8 FIGJAM

One Fuzion vs MYTHgaming

The players in MYTH have been on the same team for many years, so I think they will have the advantage - especially with players like FalcoN and brakker. Various sources have informed me that Fuzion's pANDA has been recently caught cheating in iPGN comp. As most of you know, MYTH's animus has been accused of cheating countless times. I do recall a massive thread on the now "under construction" ESAU. Anyway, I think the question on everybody's mind is:

Can EAC stop them both? Could this match turn into a "battle of the cheaters"? Watch the HLTV and find out!

Prediction: MYTH 16-9 One Fuzion
