City Hunter Autumn Tournament: CS 1.6 3v3

Yesterday City Hunter Chinatown held a 3v3 tournament in what was their first self-ran competition in a long time - which they hope to do many more of in the future. Unfortunately we didn't know about it earlier so apologies to any that would have been interested, but it appears it was a great event for a bit of fun and good to see lots of new faces playing the game.

The tournament used maps de_dust, de_bloodstrike, and de_bridge, and in a 3v3 format it might have been a bit unusual to most competitive players, but the prizes were great and it would be good to see more events, both serious and fun, down the track.

Registration was only $5 per player, and the prizes handed out were the following:

1st: 3x Kingston 30G SDD, 3x $200 shop credit

2nd: 3x RIFT 8G USB, 3x $100 Shop Credit

3rd: 3x $50 Shop Credit

Photos from the event can be found here.

Hopefully we will be able to keep you up to date on more tournaments they hold in the future!

CH do heaps of self-run comps for dota, cs etc but they only promote the events in their stores as they run them for their usual customers. They usually don't advertise here etc because they do not want professional gamers coming in and dominating every comp. These are more amateur comps. That use to be the case previously so I am not sure about now.

#6 yeh it kinda seemed that way, although they announced this comp on CG a few weeks ago so maybe they're starting to change i dno. Either way a 3v3 comp is obviously more suited to the casual players wanting a bit of fun anyway
