The ZYM ladder is currently one of the only online Counter-Strike 1.6 ladders running in Australia but there is one thing that sets ZYM apart from the others in regards to their ladder. Plasmocap has been ensuring that the ladder stays clear of people using hacks or other in-game glitches that give some sort of an advantage to the player. While this has been very successful in use on the ZYM ladder and other competitions that use Plasmocap, the developer, Plasmo has felt it is time to move over to a new anti-cheat.
EAC, Standing for Easy Anti Cheat, is the new software package that ZYM has brought in for cheat protection. While Plasmocap is a good anti cheat, it was essentially a screenshot program that also took copies of config files and monitored processes. EAC does these things and much more including memory scans, anti aimbot systems, custom sprite prevention, forcing 32bit and a lot more. The extra protection is essentially why Plasmo has decided to move over to EAC and while there are a few bugs that need to be looked into currently they are being resolved by both Plasmo and EAC’s helpful developers.
Some things to note
EAC Trials are currently live on the ZYM ladder, meaning Plasmocap is no longer in use and to participate in wars you must use EAC.
EAC automatically uploads itself through port 50300, therefore there will be no more “Oops my computer crashed and now I can’t provide my Plasmocap”. While there may be some debate over this, it will not affect you in-game as it uploads at a max of 2kbps so even capped users won’t have issues.
You will need to make sure you don't have any custom sounds/sprites. If you do, then browse to your cstrike folder and rename sound to sound1 and sprites to sprites1, this includes sounds and sprites from mods like zombie mod.
Hopefully all of this will mean a cheat free ladder and ZYM will be able to continue to provide entertaining and legitimate matches for all. Please note this is not a guide on how to use EAC nor should you treat it that way. For all that information please visit www.zym.com.au and www.easyanticheat.net

[capped users/256k-512k internet/dialup users etc]
ive spoken to the eac developers and ive requested them to code in a 1kbps upload cap option for us australians
theyve agreed to code it in and are currently working on it
so in the near future, you shouldnt even notice it running while playing your matches
- also for the vac/non vac server issue
where there can be a slim chance of getting vac'd if you join a vac enabled server while eac is running [hasn't happened to anyone yet but better to be cautious], the developers are working on a function to close cs if it detects that the server you're joining is vac enabled
and i'm going to write up a eac faq tomorrow which should cover most issues/problems that people are having
[how to run it / firewall access etc]
atm no real issues with it - the 1kbps cap update is just to insure the game runs smoother
time will tell lol
