wow, the stream is interested, something new. demos will be out anyway so quite whinging. show some appreciation for all the effort being put into the coverage?
well ran nats everything was basically on time, next time i think we should get a commentator thats known in the community, then at least would be funny
i think ppl should appreciate ppl putting the effort to make aus CS a better place (eg commentating, streaming, photos, vid coverage, posting updates on dice).
i admit the commentator had better knowledge in source (eg calling cutout heaven) but he still did a good job. it's pretty hard commenating live/knowing who to watch at the right time cuz u never know who is gonna do something big...
anyway nicely run event!! look forward to the next one at MC :D
tbh i think the commentator still got a fair bit of the good action... it's always going to be frustrating when you can't be the one that controls it - but honestly almost everyone would have missed a lot of big shots anyway...
He couldn't really just keep clicking constantly like most of us do when we're watching HLTV to find the action, that would have been even more frustrating.
yer true scott, but from the past streams/commentators ive seen they normally have 1 screen setup on the birds eye view to see whos close to the action (eg the person holding b when the T's are getting ready to hit B) and then they have a easier idea to whose near the action. Obviously that wasn't possible.
Yeah that woulda been good :) but yeah, with only the one shoutcaster there it wasn't really possible - everyone else was pre-occupied with stuff also ;(... but from what i -saw- i liked it :D only thing i probably woulda done differently is in 1v2 1v3 situations, go to the single player left... he did a few times (benooooor 1v3 when it was 15-1!) but yeah, missed a few too
Yeah on that note, I was only able to have my own screen, with hud_saytext 0 and no radar, so at times it was fucked trying to see if the T's did a fake and rotate or whether they continued on the path.
I know exactly how frustrating it is when the stream has the wrong POV going, and did my best solo, but only so much I can do. Though gotta admit, I did get benoR's massive 1v3 to prevent the loss (well prevent it that round anyway :P)
And don't feel bad about giving (at times harsh) feedback, if you don't say it, woodz & co can't improve it! Just try not to go too far out of your way being a dick haha
