For those who missed it on Sunday night, channel 7 aired a story focusing on the recent WCG finals held in China and a Chinese concentration camp for children suffering from 'internet addiction' (and for anyone interested, there's also a short clip featuring gazR screaming). The camp is run by the the Chinese military and the 'students' attend for several months, where they must complete drills, live in cramped quarters, are forced to take anti- depressants, subjected to brain scans and receive army rations for meals. This is how China is treating children with an unhealthy addiction to gaming.
The story also ventures briefly into the life of Dimitri Bresco, Australia's FIFA representative at WCG and the recent WCG finals in Chengdu, China. According to the experts Dimitri is in danger. Exactly what danger he is in isn't specified, however despite his dangerous addiction to video games Dimitri is (apparently) a perfectly healthy young person!

But at the concentration camp, the doctors believe that their approach to internet addiction is successful and also necessary. Of 5,000 addicts that have attended the camp so far, approximately two thirds of them have been cured of their addiction. One child confesses that he enjoys the camp, because he actually makes real friends and feels like it is helping his addiction. Dr. Tao Ren (one of the doctors at the camp) also claims to have proof of brain damage being caused by video games and claims that addiction to video games is the number one cause for mental health issues in Chinese youths.
Even if you aren't particularly interested in watching another mainstream program about video game addiction, this one is a little different. Even though the focal point of the story is video game addiction, it actually sheds gaming in a positive light and almost (when you watch it, youll understand what I mean by almost) refers to gaming as a sport in its own rite. Definitely worth a watch for anyone who plays video games.

yea it had a tiny clip with gazr and showed some sql faces too
They did their usual spin-off and from what I saw, they didn't put a very good light on gaming at all.. Then again, I may be wrong.
