After many months of speculation and rumours,
Team Immunity have revealed their new lineup for 2010.
Immunity had been on the look out for new players to complete the team after "KgN" (aka deStiny) and "Dirge" (aka Snoopy) left last year, after the team's disappointing 4th place at WCG 2009 Australian Qualifier, and joined the newly formed team
mousegazm. "Steel" has also been replaced, leaving 3 spots to fill to complete the new lineup.
The 3 new members are no strangers to the Australian scene, and all have a vast amount of experience competing internationally. Former
SEQUENTIAL duo "Apoc" and "pupajoN" fill the first 2 spots, with the former having been recently replaced after a brief stint in the top Counter-Strike: Source team
Archaic-Esports whome were scheduled to go tour Europe in early April.
"It's disappointing that it has gotten to the stage where we had to change lineup so close to the biggest events. It's also a shame because Mike was also a close friend and somebody I respect as the best player Australia can have for any game codes, but at the end of the day we have a goal and that goal is to have a team working together in one big unit" was the comment made by Boomser from Archaic.
Both Apoc and Pupajon were last seen representing Australia in the 2009 WCG World Finals, where they narrowly missed out on progressing past the group stage. The last spot will be filled by "rizE", who has been without a team for some time, and was last seen representing Australia when he competed in the 2007 WCG World Finals (also with Apoc and pupajoN).

Otis "pupajoN" Duncan and Mike "Apoc" Aliferis after their WCG AU 2009 victory.
With the new team, it marks the first time that Immunity has been represented by a majority sydney-based lineup. It is also expected, although not yet confirmed, that they will be competing at the IEM Asian Championship Finals in Taipei from February 5th-9th.
"Well as most of you know I've played with ferg for quite some time now and we've developed a great form of chemistry that we not only have between ourselves but also among any team. With ferg and I alongside the famous TRIO of apoc pupajon and rizE I believe within the pair and the trio we can form a great alliance of players. Understanding that the competition is not far away from us now, I still believe that this superteam can knock down any wall in our way when we gather the momentum and confidence needed. With a combination within each player of great aim and brains I believe we will hold our own at EIM", iM gazR told DICE. "I believe apoc has found it within himself to finish off what he started in his 1.6 career. Although the superstar of both games can dominate either on any given day, I believe his great passion and background for the 1.6 game has brought him back to the the journey he must forfill."
This leaves the
Immunity lineup for 2010 as the following:
Gareth "gazR" Lynn
Fergus "ferg" Stephenson
Mike "Apoc" Aliferis
Otis "pupajoN" Duncan
Miles "rizE" O'Connor
hopefully we can geek it up for the next week and do well in taiwan~
