The new Australia Immunity team which has seen no more than 5 days together have confirmed their attendence to ESL's Asian Championship in Taipei next weekend.

According to the information available from ESL's website the event will showcase teams from Australia, New Zealand and of course Asia all competing for the total prize purse of $25,000 - $11,000 of which will be awarded to the team placing first. Furthermore the top two finishers will earn a place in the Intel Extreme Masters Global Finals later this year.

Although the complete team list for the event has not yet been published, our research indicates that Korea WeMadeFox, Hong Kong Duskbin, and Singapore TitaNs will be in attendance while the top tier Chinese team China Tyloo are yet to post a formal announcement which has sparked rumours of them not attending the event at all on their forums.

The Asian Championship will be held as part of the Taipei Game Show

The Australia Immunity camp are surprisingly confident in their preparation despite having less than two weeks to practice as a team online before touching down in Taipei. Judging from the hours logged on some of their members profiles, Australia Immunity have been utilising whatever resources are available to them to make this trip a success.

"I still believe it will be more than enough time to make this team work! Having some of the most experienced players in Australia in one team makes it very easy to create a team with tremendous chemistry and teamwork. With all players playing alot of CS(Bots, Deathmatch, Pugs) lately, I believe we all have the individual skill to complement the chemistry and teamwork that this lineup contains. This new lineup makes us an extremely versatile team. With all players being able to use any weapon, individualy take control of any situation and all being able to communicate extremely well I believe it will create a team with minimal flaws", Gareth "gazR" Lynn responded when asked about his new teams preparation.

DICE will be following Australia Immunity's progress overseas and cover the event off-site with the teams co-operation to bring you all the latest news, photos and demos, so stay tuned!

If they're the top teams attending the event, there's a very good chance Immunity will qualify for the World Finals. They just have to get past TitaNs again.
