As We Approach the Release of CSPROMOD 31st January 2010 Cspromod has released three new gameplay videos. I love the idea of the cspromod menu as you can turn off all the settings with a click of a button. Net coding will be a thing of the past with the CSPromod rating system it has a full customization inference. Anyway enough talking Enjoy the videos!!
and andrew they're not really 'progress' videos they're just showing every single option/feature thats available in the final release, so when you start up the game when its released you dont have to go through and test what everything is u'll know straight away what options (for the majority of them) u'll want to use and what everything does.
To help users become more familiar with CSP and ease them into the mod without actually downloading the game I guess. It looks good but probably won't be accepted straight away until the models are replaced in 1.05 I reckon.
and yeh i agree george i dont think it will become properly accepted (if at all) until the models/animations are done, but its a massive step in the right direction as their progress looks great.
they said they will be releasing some vids of the current state their up to with developing the animations on the models with, or very soon after, the release of 1.04, so i think they will help alot with people realising if it will be good or not and staying on board with csp
#11 pretty sure no1 stayed on LOL, by stay on i actually mean stay on, like keep up to date on the forums and offer input, and play the game and help to improve it etc, not just uninstall it and delete it for 2 years then reinstall when they release a new update
and yeh #12 imho dno why they didnt just wait a few months to complete the animations and release it then with them, but i suppose it will help down the track to getting the game better, quicker
maybe they wanted to keep people interested and keep them keen by showing what they have already accomplished and telling us there is still more to come, but personally i think they should have waited especially knowing how much the 1.6 community flames things that are trying to help it rofl
yeh they released the first 3 versions earlier than they wanted to because of that same reason, and it backfired hard, thats why i thought they would have learnt their lesson
edit: im assuming atleast, although im not sure why they called it 1.3 so it could be something different, i know enabling/disabling whats in that pic is an option though
im aware why they made them, i was pointing out that it probably took a week or 2 to make the videos and now they only get 2 proper days to play it before the mod is released.
(Alba) Right now, the current time would be 10am PST/ 7pm CET on sunday the 31st which is like 5am our time monday? looks like ill be playing it about 6pm after work :(
the gg guys know source will die off before 1.6 so jumping ship to csp will be their best option. at least that way they will save some humility in vouching for a game thats known as the inferior choice in the counterstrike series..
1.6ers will probably play both here in aus because lets face it, online is dry. until america or europe change, theres no chance csp will be adopted, and that seems a long way off still from all the changes csp have on their roadmap.
i wonder how long after beta it will take to release the game, how long does it usually take a game in beta to reach the shelves? (or steam shelves in this instance i spose)
#32 this isn't a normal structured commercial release. So the time frame won't be based on any industry standard. The beta so far has taken 3 years - I'd say if this version is all it's hyped up to be, then we're probably looking at another year till it's released officially. That won't mean that updates will cease, rather the game will be in a competitive state.
Ps. It won't be sold on steam. It will potentially be a part of steamworks, ie. You'll be able to download the game and any updates automatically. Rather than having to download them manually.
- csp is building rapport with major tournaments - good feedback from top tier players like fnatic - csp will bring in more sponsors - 1.6 is a better game than css
-having player names on the radar w/ map overlay is very good
-whats floating on his leg ~8.30min first vid LOL
