Today marks the completion of what will hopefully be the first of many Dicevip-administered 1.6 competitions.
Through-out the day, competition was fierce, seeded teams looking strong, however as fluent as it all began, its not without it's controversy.
During one of the group stage matches, a member of team Twisted Fate accidentally killed himself through world-spawn, then proceeded to rejoin the game as if nothing had of happened, which in almost every globally recognized ruleset, is illegal. After considerable amounts of discussion between admins present at the event, it was decided that a 1 round penalty would be applied to the halftime score. Little did we know, that 1 round would be the one that mattered. MB fought back from an 11-4 deficit to cinch the victory 16-14.
Another team who turned out to be a surprise package was team TNA, who were seeded 4th and were looking very strong early on beating every team they came up against convincingly, until arguably the two best teams in the competition, team GUTS and TF8. Heavy losses in those 2 games would see TNA home early(16-12 and 16-11 respectively) without any chance of playing GUTS in the final, which meant TF8 scraped through by the slimmest of margins.
The grand final between GUTS and TF8 was rather one sided to say the least, sporting 2 of Australias top talents in Ben "benoR" O'Reilly and Gareth "gazR" Lynn who were brought in last minute to play for the top seeded team. GUTS steamrolled the first map which was De_inferno 16-8, the 2nd map was to be de_dust2, which ended up the exact same score, also in GUTS' favor.

It's just common sense that if you kill yourself you can't retry... especially if its not in freeze time, and with the way you guys treat MB... i wonder why they argued / complained... aye? lol.
Yes, i was in the wrong..but it's a friendly one dayer and i've never really seen an accident like that as a big issue, so i joined and asked can i play? Got no response so just kept playing with my glock. I would've killed myself/come back next round if they had said a simple "no".

they lost to mb (lol) just beat dreamR team by 3 rounds (lol) and had 3 attempts at guts not making double digit rounds once (these guys are nowhere near tNa's level)
just got lucky on inferno i suppose, winning both pistols and what not.. but still bo3 wouldve seen tf8 dommed by tNa
but going by your little RW/RL tally wouldve seen tNa place 2nd had they beaten dreamRteam at least 16-11 with 71/56 ratio
why even have the tally in place if it doesnt count for who goes through? so flawed...

should be 3 rounds not 1 because i think it was MB's buy round aswell fucking demUp. Only a friendly comp though so no harm done.

In any major tournament if a player commits suicide by accidently changing teams or by cratering they wouldnt be allowed back in under penalty of minimum 3 round deduction.
We lost that round which would of been a 1v1, my team distracted as soon as we found out you were playing the round. Awarded the 1 round which you forfeited but what was to stop us from winning the next 3 turning it to 9-6 opposed to the admin decided 10-5?
Not going to post anything else on the current topic however sportsmanship shown by JNSIE and his teammates at both this comp and the previous two were _disgraceful_.

Just caus its a slightly more casual (what determines it being casual though.. lower prize money? less teams? where do you draw the line? Theres still money, pride, and more up for grabs at these comps) doesnt mean that rules shouldnt be adhered to and that cheating (exaggerating to make a point) should be allowed.
If anything it should be exactly the same (wherever possible). Thats what really makes lan FUN. Good, FAIR, games and high quality scrims! :D

if tf8 really wanted to win, we would be playing online more often ( havent played since kode5 qual 2). We still enjoy a game of cs, but to be frank there isnt much motivation anymore. iM + GUTS will be top 2 every comp unless someone like vhm or tf8 start playing more; which is impracticable with our players rl schedule.

- tf8 played tuscan once before in kode5.
- jim, shadz and myself (dunno bout hellraiser) had played it like 3 times ever.
- you play it literally every night in that thing you call ipgn.
- we were emo from MB's loss and literally cbf playing. Additional to that, when you are as good as tf8, playing noobs in a competition said, we wernt phased at all losing rounds to you. (obvious from our randy pushing looking for kills).
- if ya wanna play serz, cya in the next nationals where we will win 16-0.
-the rest of your team mates seemed like nice people and there is definitely potential in some of the players. You were a good team and will make some decent games in the future. But plz dont question tf8's cockyness or ability..
MB have always given tf8 a good game. Lately they have been playing better than us.
